Q. How to cancel the hotel booking?

Answer. BookMyHotels gives the leverage to its guests to cancel a hotel booking within 24 hours of the Check-In time. In this case, the cancellation fee will be charged by the respective hotel, depending on the discretion of the hotel’s billing department.

Q. Is there a mandatory fee charged by the hotel for executing my cancellation?

Answer. If you have undertaken a free cancellation booking, you shall not be charged any cancellation fee. However, on the contrary, if a hotel reservation is not free or has non-refundable criteria attached to it, the additional costs levied in this case shall be charged by the respective hotel. BookMyHotels has no responsibility in the cancellation process. It is the sole discretion existing between the hotel and the guest. Q. Who will charge my credit card when I reserve a hotel room, and when is this charge executed?

Answer. In the general sense of things, the hotel property where you are making your reservation shall be authorized to make a credit charge from your credit card. However, if BookMyHotels is charging the card (as the case may be), you will have it clearly described in the booking confirmation.

Depending on the GUIDELINES OF THE POLICY DOCUMENTS, the HOTEL MAY ALSO ASK FOR COMPLETE PRE-PAYMENTS, AND THE CARD IS CHARGED ONCE FOR ALL THE PAYMENTS. The payments made from your CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD are stated in the BOOKING CONFIRMATION. If the hotel has no pre-payment policy, there are chances that the hotel may still ask for TEST PAYMENT, and in this case, the DEBIT CARD/CREDIT CARD IS CHARGED. This serves as the guarantee for your hotel reservations. Remember, TEST PAYMENT is not the REAL CHARGE, and the credit will be returned to your card after you have made the Check-In at the respective hotel.
